Usually takes at least 10 verbal abuse reports in 48 hours to ban you from speaking for 168 hours which is the max. You may of met your quota in 2 days is all.
I've been put in low priority and muted before because opp. team labeled me as "abusive" due to rolling them 3 games in a row, somehow mmr (before ranked) rolled me against their team that frequently.
IDK you met your quota, cant be just 1 verbal abuse report in 48 hours it does nothing.

You paid for dota2? It's free and besides it has TOS which you agreed to which includes verbal abuse. Besides just play it and use an external chat software like ventrillo or mumble or skype.
Maybe has someone on the inside Puke IDK. He may of had his gang of friends report you and counter abused you idk. Its one of the two OR you had been reported for verbal abuse 9 other times and his 10th was the tip of the iceberg on the 48 hour limit. Sucks I know.
To be muted for 168 hours, you must have been muted at least two times before that in less than 3 week intervals.
You were most likely reported 2-3 times in the last week, including that game, for com abuse, for w/e reason.
Don't get muted again for 3 weeks and it will reset.

You can be happy that you actually got reported for a valid reason, many other people get muted just because they had a bad game or other people were flaming them.
You flamed him and got muted for flaming. Not only that, but it takes 2 reports (from 2 different games) to get muted, and seeing that it's a 168 hour mute, you've been muted twice before this one in the past few weeks.

I had a game for example in which enigma made midas in 20 mins, we lost the game eventually , and he did not imitate. if you bash him ---> reported, if you try to teach him or advice him -----> muted&reported. I get commends every day! and that means nothing!? wtf as much as I get reports, i get commends! To sum things up, this system is fucking flawed.
I never got muted before, so those who are complaining, really, it's your own fault. Whenever my team starts feeding I just voice chat them to be careful and not aggressively, and they never report me! When I play bad I say sorry and they don't report me. Let down your ego.

How should I start this, it seems that there is a very serious flaw. In my last game I played, I met a player "noob" that was his nick name and the following link is to his profile:

Anyways, we played a game, he picked tinker, and I got doom. During the game, he lost horribly the enemy's mid, which happened to be pudge. During the game I called him by a " shit tinker or fucking noob" for ruining my game. At the very last moment of the game, a played dc intentionally, and two players were afk. Sadly, only me and "noob" we defeding. At last, he said, your account has been muted. I replied by if you want to report go ahead.
I started a new game, to find out I has been muted for 168 hours! no kidding, what kind of punishment is this?! I usually coordinate a team I play with, I need to chat in order to plan. Now things are fucked up! I told him how did you do that?! he said, well I have friends!.
