Everyone fucking loves having a support player in pub games and you seem to be building decent items, witohout Agh's rushing, Dagon and messy stuff like that.
But I don't think that every support hero loves/benifits his team with Mekanism pickup. With those hero winrates you can experimentate with items a bit more, at least for the fun of that and it will help you to understand the game a bit more, or you can even try researching into it - stuff like Soul Ring on Wisp or Midas Maiden is pretty common in compettive play nowadays and I don't seen any reason why not to mess with it in pubs. I don't want to comment negative on records, since you almost don't play 1-3 position heroes, yet some experience with them might help you understand what is needed from a good support and stuff, but you seem to understand that yourself, so good job.

Anyway. The reason I buy Mek so, SO frequently is because it's made up of cheap parts. I can't farm up large amounts of gold when I buy the wards (both of them), the smokes, dusts and sometimes the gems. Most of the gold I get is by some creeps nobody is farming (which shouldn't happen, but alas...), some jungle, assists and not dying. The last one is not so easy to achieve while securing the safety of my teammates, so if I happen to have the spare gold for a part of the mek, I buy it without thinking it too much.
