But I'll focus on English, because Dota 2 is a multiplayer game played by people of different nationalities, but especially the English-speaking segment. At first, I didn't have any English proficiency, and it wasn't until I started playing Dota 2 that I started gradually improving my English by communicating with foreigners. Maybe at first it will be simple words that can be used in a person's life, but after that we can get a result like the average spoken one, so I want to say that any of your interests can help you in the future in various aspects of life.
Dota is my first game in which I encountered a language barrier, I couldn't accurately and quickly tell the information in the game, but literally after 500 playing hours in Dota 2, I started speaking English fluently and overcame the language barrier, at the moment I have over 2000 hours in Dota 2 and I have many new friends from Europe and Asia))
yes it did at some point but more through me looking for content and online discussion than through voice or chat comms in game
