totally second that, as also a 2.3k trash who can't fucking win a game with CK
farm, fight when you can fight, kill when you see a free kill, never EVER die, dont open fights unless you have bkb/aegis,let your friends tank spells or open
actually you should die. playing too safe when you shouldnt/dont have to is a big mistake that i make often. instead you should play more boldly and force enemy team to do something about you. otherwise you allow them to do whatever they want on the map.
@OP: the rank 1 player is probably thinking why you all are so effing bad at this stupid game.
miracle doesnt die because his team creates space for him. in a pub environment, he will die. everyone will.
It becomes second nature at that point. They laid a good foundation for themselves. I also think that it simply comes with talent to be an MMR such as 6k+. I can't go beyond 5K, it seems.
A good guitar player plays a song, he doesn't do a bunch of math equations. He just has good muscle memory and it just comes to him naturally now. Same as dota.

Failure is a great way to learn.
What goes through my mind.
In order of objectives,
If I’m not trying to fight,
Can I push tower? If not> can I farm lane> can I farm jungle.
Take a look a lanes, make sure 2 lanes pushing out always before trying to take a fight.
If my team is weaker it’s time to split push, if I see enemy group up walk to other side of map. Try not to waste tp. Try to play on the enemy safe lane.
During laning, focus on lane equilibrium if you are stronger. Think about what level u can start to push wave and rotate to jungle for farm, or when to take tower. Think about regen and trading.
Efficiency, always look at clock to decide where to farm first. After :30 maybe farm the jungle first then go to lane. Otherwise farm the lane first
Remember to stack
I am personally 14k mmr, that play low mmr for educational.
This what I think as 16k core player:
Constantly gather resource.
Rotate to fight and kill enemy hero.
Don't die.
Take / defend objectives (towers, roshan, my pooper lol jk!_).
I tell you secret homie:
The inner circles of DOTA 2 have word for me, it's Absurd Skill.
I’m 5.2k & idk if that’s “high mmr” for you but I have three tips.
1) Have a gameplan. Map out what you want to achieve in your lane, what items you might want to buy, when to ferry regen (do this a lot as a carry), when to turn on teamfight mode, etc.
2) Be aware of your items. Getting a SnY might not look like much but even a Wraith Band boosts your hero’s power level significantly. Not to mention active items like BKB or Abyssal. I still find myself buying an important item and playing the same game when I should be more confident and dominant.
3) Dodge and weave in teamfights. As a carry we’re used to ending teamfights quickly (for example, as an Anti-Mage we let our team initiate and then we jump in -> Manta -> Mana Void -> kill everyone.) Not every teamfight is going to go smoothly. Most of the time teamfights are messy and back & forth and so your no.1 priority should be to not overcommit and die or take too much damage. Be aware of cooldowns and shit like that.
i've been watching miracle replays on pubs and he really doesnt die at all for some reason, also i've been watching his mid tho

how do u watch pro player pub replays bro?? i want to watch some abed mid gameplay but it was private in dotabuff..
My mmr not thay high but as far as what I believe that mid should know to create havoc on offlane to create space for carry to farm. Thats what I always do as mid.player
Also: learn to think for yourself. What looks bad to your shitty teammates may be the correct play.
Thank you guys for taking the time out to help a 2k mmr soul.
Ya Np just remember dying is a big deal I learned this through experience. Not some dota alchemy video
Depends on the bracket. You should learn to farm fast. Just by decent farming speed you will get 3-4k mmr.

Hello. I'm your standard 2k mmr player. Would really love some insights from players who play pos 1. I cannot seem to win a huge number of games despite being only 2k for quite some time now and according to lots of high mmr players it should be fairly easy to get out of this bracket. Can successful carry players briefly explain how they go about strategizing from the drafting phase to the destruction of the enemy ancient. I know this is a very broad topic but any useful tips and insights would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
