^^Wow so helpful , never figured that out . the f ?
I think i forgot to mention "In detail"
You didn't als for details.
If you want details, you shouldn't ask me.
I never play dark seer.
U dumb or something ? U think a guy with ~3k games will ask should he play darkseer tank or hard carry ? The fuck bro ?
Push waves in and pressure enemy core to make it hard for them to last hit. Cut waves, go jungle for a bit and repeat. Get an early Helm, find a Centaur creep and bully the shit out of anyone who tries to manfight you. Pay attention to the map, when enemy supports are MIA theyre probably going to gank you so fall back and let them waste their time then re apply pressure.
Build for teamfights, play a lot like Magnus wait for enemies to group up and vacuum + wall them. Blink Dagger, Shivas Guard and Greaves are your core items.

Enemy DS did exactly what Goku Black wrote. Also we had a pudge in our team.
The hero is sub-par in a lot of ways. He has very little solo kill potential, doesn't dish out a lot of physical damage, and is pretty easy to ignore while teamfights are in progress. His big upsides are that he farms incredibly quick, makes his teammates stronger, and does more damage the more enemies he's fighting into.
The key is to use his farm ability to accelerate your acquisition of items, then use those to force teamfights and towers faster than the other team can handle. It's why he makes most of his appearances in comp dota, and not in pubs, because you need to coordinate with allies a lot. You need to talk to your 4pos and give them Ion Shell to gank, and you need to get your 4 teammates together to push when you're ready.
In the lane, focus less on harassing or doing damage to the enemy, and instead, use Ion shell to maximize damage on creeps and neutrals. Do what a lot of pros do, and skip the wave, pulling it to a jungle camp and double the gold you get from an Ion shell. Stack camps and ion shell small creeps in those camps, etc.
Use your first few bursts of gold to get mana sustain like soul ring and arcanes, then keep abusing your farm ability until you can get a mek and/or HotD. Then start coordinating your team. Those items are for pushing and sustaining. Call supports to your lane and get their safelane tower. Then go mid. Then take their T2 safelane, etc. Just gather so much map control that your carry's game is easy.
Just see replay lol. Ur ancient 7 something, at least write what you don't understand about the hero. Lol
@Chess player ; My dear anshit , what i dont understand was , what he was supposed to do in the game . Like i played pos 3 darkseer . Ok . I harass the carry but i cant kill him or support . Means he is shit pos 3 (or is he?) Then at 10 mins i make helm cut waves and push towers and force fights . I get like 2-3 towers , lots of space But i lose fights . Then at late game he is useless , so space created is equilized cuz its 4v5. So i wanted to get a different approach to him . I still didnt figure the 2nd approach and cant master the 1st one .
So i think the only approach is the one i did . Now all i have to know is when to pick him ,(probably against heroes that scale very good mid game but later fall off) . And a good build pattern (u gotta know reasons why u make something, just blindly following means u'll lose every 10th game)
Cutting waves with dominated creep and ion shell while u farm neuts is so safe and good xD .
So i wanted to learn this hero to avoid sure loss in games where enemy takes hard teamfighting or pushing strats .
As for when to pick him:
He scales REALLY good against illusion based cores. CK, PL, TB, etc. since your wall of replica illusions do so much damage, and most of these heroes are melee heroes with low regen who have a hard time dealing with ion shell harass in lane. The less damage you can get out of your ultimate, the worse he is. So he has trouble against heroes like Razer, or Monkey King, or Ember Spirit, etc.
Typically try to pick him when your team needs to push early, and control teamfights. His main advantage over someone like Tidehunter is that he's ultra-mobile and can take over more of the map than Tide can early.
I think dark seer is great at pulling people out of position, similar to bristleback. Once you have blink on him (my god you better be building blink) he becomes so mobile. Between his speed boost and boots you can get around ez and lead enemies out of position. A lot of people don't realize he's a tank... the guy can take some damage! Watch for your teams big team fights and participate. Be sure to control your ult illusions by having them attack weak heros. Those illusions do a ton of damage now
Ds is great against glass cannon carries preferably with auras like Luna. Also great against squishy supports. You typically need a run into Ur face ally like bara, mars, ember, troll, pudge, ud, LC, naix, CK, fv, Ursa kind of ally for max consistency, just ion shell these heroes , vac wall the enemy and have fun. Basic hero just read his skills again and go all aura items, greaves crimson is an excellent 25 mins end game build. Hotd is not really a must. Lotus , hex late game works wonders, his talents allow him to scale late. Also cutting creep waves and farming jungle = highest nw hero on map at min 10.
His power spike is at lvl 8/9 with maxed ion shell one 1 point in wall you can kill enemy carry and support easy as f with some support.
im not really a dark seer player but from what i saw from pros who played it..they often creep skip whatever lane matchup they got..they are pulling the wave to a jungle camp..with gold and level from jungle camps he is often have more farm than the safelane carries..early laning stage determines how big of a impact ds have from what ive seen..
