nah all the position circlejerking is pointless
its a lot easier to fall into a shitty mentality as a lower position MAYBE, but it’s still less of a factor than, say, not being a fucking retard
As a main support let me show you how i carry as a carry, i pick support because bobo putang ina mo carry picker who cannot even pick anything but carry and somehow still feed
i just remember is was 2-0-2 with more than 110 LH and deny i a matter of 13 min with void
yet the other team invoker was having midas , aghanim and boots of travel at the same min:P
another game i was mid and axe ganke me at min 15 with dagger vangard and bm ,
its not about you its about your teammate dosent suck
look at my last game god like and expected lose
same thing applies to my group of friends, sometimes when we're bored we would swap roles and most of the time the "support main" that plays core would be outfarmed/outcarried
look at my last game god like and expected lose
maybe u lost because u had zero defensive item against slark, dr , right clicks? u dont have ghost or force :)
oh no thats not true, u just only lost because u had bad teammates , so sad bruh :(
dagon on nightstalker , kaya& sange on es xD XD XD
ohhhh ur teammates aree sooooooooooooooooooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad
CORE is ALPHA MALE, suport is for betas, screw betas, they are weak, me stong carry 1vs9, izzy game, uh ha uh ha uha
Sorry but you made a typo, it's actually:
You need to play core in order to climb in Dota
Yes. In order to get better at Dota you need to play all roles and understand the game.
This also goes for cores. They need to play support.
Kowareta / dagon on nightstalker: it was finished game , i had pa feeding on purpose for i dont know what reason ( i was top he was bot)
was solo lane vs jugg and lion as alch was farming jungle ( actully alch and lc was farming jungle)
i had eul on zues if i will have 3 defensive item how i'm gonna make damage ?
Nah, I play Cores and Supports and I can carry the game as a Skywrath or a Lion or an offlane phoenix just as I can with a Safelane Spectre or Chaos Knight. Its just players who play as a core typically have a much better ability to read the map, Accumulate gold and typically learn how to control creep equilibrium quicker because they are hitting the creeps. Being a support also takes a lot of skill because you have to sometimes trade hits with an offlaner and have the proper regen but you don't have a lot of money. IMHO the game starts with the supports. If the supports do not get one core off the ground or put the enemy cores in the grave it becomes a difficult game. I always try to pick the strongest player and core with the least # of counters and nivest my energy into getting them off the ground as quick as possible. once I do I then start protecting the Lesser core that's behind With the help of my now buff Primary core. The primary core I pick can be any of the 3 cores.
I watched a lot of Purge when I started Dota and naturally played support in the beginning, thinking I was fine and my carries are trash when we lose. However I quickly learn this is not the case and infact I am awful at support. Pulling creeps and planting wards doesn't make you good. I now watch a lot of Gorgc and if I have to play support I try and do what he asks his own supports to do which is way harder and requires way more knowledge and judgement calls from them.
I now main carry with much more success, it's easy to be the greedy farm hero who hits some creeps and then smacks some enemies. I purposely play heroes with low skill ceiling (PA / Jugg / Naix etc.) because it minimises the chance I have to fuck up. If I get good support then I really know about it cos the enemy is crushed and my lane is super easy I don't even have to think for myself I just hit creeps and he does the rest.
Long story short, support is way harder to play well and way more punishable if you play bad. Carry is kinda hard to mess up cos all you gotta do is accumulate gold and not do retarded dumb shit and feed. Believe me I give many praises and thank yous and commends and :pa_kisses: to good support because they make my job super easy and even though I might have nice score at end, their help in lane is what really won the game.
Obviously I am trash rank but I think same applies across all skill levels.
Anyone who wanna be support just get good at laning phase and you win the game as long as your carry isn't complete dog. (However, this is actually hard to do properly so that is why many struggle with it.)
Actually, anyone who complains about being stuck at a particular MMR is like an incel. If the structure of your mind is garbage instead of exceptional, your MMR will represent that; if you're an ugly dumbass, you will have a fat ugly girlfriend. There is no egalitarianism in reality, only in our conjured concrete jungle of a society that we are born into is that possible. You make your own bed and then you have to lay in it, there's no mommy here to force Gaben to give you MMR :).
What I’m saying is you must know how to play core / carry a game in order to be good. I’m not saying that you must absolutely be a core player. Of course not. So many support mains are gods. So much more are walking saps of gold, though.
The problem is that low-tier supports can't position. As a result, they can't play the pro selfless support style because they can't hit and run or kite or juke without feeding. But many also never bothered to learn how to LH/DN, zone enemy offlaners correctly, waveclear, or farm jungle in a reasonable pattern...as a result, they can't build the items needed to actually help the team after 25 minutes because:
1) Farming is hard for them.
2) Their carry's lane wasn't won so their carry is still farming jungle after 30+ minutes.
3) Their carry is also bad enough at farming that there are creep waves that aren't being farmed on the map but the support believes it is a violation of his "role" to take that free farm.
Play too much of this, and the support player starts to normalize his bad performance as "support is supposed to feed and have no items and be totally useless outside of wards."
I don't agree op. You can amass all the gold you want but one bad crucial fight 'cause of being out of position or not focusing the right target and you've wasted a hour of perfect farm. Positioning and game sense are things that belong primarily to initiators players and support players since, due to the nature of the heroes they play, they're forced to practice and master those dynamics as well as game reading. On the other hand, it is true that core players have the advantage of being better at knowing the map, 'cause they have to develop efficient farming patterns and awareness in order to get fat, split push and take objectives at the right time. The concept of "best player" is relative. If the top 1 player in terms of MMR was a carry with a hero pool of 3-4 heroes and the top 2 player was a versatile one, very good at all the aforementioned dynamics and mechanics but not as good as the top 1 at farming, would you still consider the top 1 better just because he climbed higher by spamming a bunch of carries?
so are you implying that you aren't trash at dota or something..
sounds kinda funny from divine 2 but keep talking
A lot of my won MMR games are when I’m either mid or support
I lose when I play carry or offlane
i prefer having support players on my team rather than 5 cores thank you

This. This is exactly what I’m trying to say. LOW TIER SUPPORTS. I’m obviously talking about Legend and below players.
... And yes, at Divine 2 (low 5k) I’m objectively not “trash” at Dota. Sure an Immortal player would eat me up completely and shit me out the drain any day of the week, but I would do the same to your Ancient 4 ass.
You are also an immortal player. You could probably be given the core role and not run to too many problems.
I’m talking about low level “support mains”.
Maybe that's your mentality.
Supporting is hard, carrying people 'think' consists of clicking the right click button on your enemy only.
My guess is that they're both hard. Only supports get flamed more for mistakes. F.E no Wards. (in a spot).

@op i agree with title
everything u said under title is just shameful man honestly just delete thread
people should play carry or at least watch carry replays but not to play those heroes ...it's just to know what those heroes want to do in lane and game in general
"They’re meta-oblivious, always out of position, doesn’t know how to keep up levels and play from behind, doesn’t know when to pull, doesn’t know how to play actively, etc."
this sentence just makes you look bad.
Yeah playing PvE FarmVille Simulator is so hard lol
Playing core is ez, specially pos1, braindead easy heroes, easiest position by far
However you do have to play pos1 to climb because even though the skill floor is super low, the skill ceiling is quite high so it is easy to outplay potato pos1 players and win
But nah, Farm Simulator is super boring, I preffer to play supp in 3k than climb to 4k playing boring cores
Support play is just way harder than core role!!! So if u are noob go core!
edit. or play courier if u are ultra noob

... At least that’s how it goes in my group of friends.
The “support mains” are eternal low-3ks that probably played support because they weren’t that good to begin with. They’re meta-oblivious, always out of position, doesn’t know how to keep up levels and play from behind, doesn’t know when to pull, doesn’t know how to play actively, etc.
My theory is that playing core is Dota in a nutshell - you want to amass as much gold and experience advantage over the enemy so that you can eventually take objectives and overpower them. Supporting is enabling your cores to do those things for your team. And so if you can’t carry a game as a core, you probably won’t know what to achieve as a support as well.
