i think u need to do something special to get promoted, i.e. show that you are qualified for hte position you will be promoted to.

remember that with a promotion, you will usually also have more work to do, although you are also getting more money - don't forget that the higher you get promoted the more responsibility you have to take for your company/team.

how it works exactly at dotabuff hq is unknown, i believe they are a rather small company spread over the whole world, and therefore positions are probably kind of "equal", except CEO etc positions ofc.
