I have seen 5k people in Tier 8 though. I don't know how they got there but they were there.

the highest tier of ur party is being used, so if u got 1 7k in party and the others are 1k, u'd still play in tier 8

It goes like this.

6.2k+: 8

5.2-6.2k: 7

4.2-5.2k: 6

3-4.2k: 5

2.2-3.2k: 4

1.2-2.2k: 3

0-1.2k: 2

I didn't play with them though. They were in the "tier chat". Can you come in there from the outside?

u can always opt in to be 1 tier higher than u actually are, so if u are 5050 (tier 7), you can choose to join tier 8 and therefore join the public tier 8 channel (im guessing)

I used to be able to play in tier 7 and 8 when i was 5.8k, but my friend was only able to play 6 or 7 and he was also 5.8k. It was confusing

im 5.5k and can play in tier 6

wanna know why? because only the mmr u had when they introduced tiers matters - i was 4k and therefore got tier 6
