but definitely the best way to ACTUALLY improve is to analyse 8k replays, i did that, cutnpaste did that, kr did that
everyone who got to high mmr in a reasonable time took their sweet time on analyzing replays
@Jacked the point of analyzing them is to figure out WHY they're doing something, not understanding why is just watching the game passively

Whatever works for you bro because IMO both teaches you in a (spoon fed way) which is good if your dota knowledge/ game sense isn't fully developed.
Pvgna & Gameleap will help you have that primary knowledege that would hopefully develop you to a person who would be able to chew out the raw knowledge an 8k/9k replay would give you.
TLDR; Pvgna and Gameleap -> Knowledge that is spoonfed for you to understand (like a TEXT BOOK)
8k/9k replays -> W/o prior knowledge you are on your own it is up to you how much u can absorb from the replay
@op i'd suggest u just to choose one randomly (i would get gameleap but i dont need really) and just see their main knowledge vids also watch some purge vids u could find the patterns of analysing games then analyse your own games and pro games like cookies said. Also u could learn how to analyse by urself like cookie
Back when riki was triggering me and i was a tryhard i got 500+ mmr in a month during the moths i bothered doing analysis.
What i never ever got is how this forum is filled with little kiddies making 50 page arguments on how its impossible to reach VHS without even once picking up a replay.
3.7k mmr players are straight out bad, you wont have a single proper match of dota 2 under 6k avg.
2% of the games are actually unwinnable, every other match is winnable given a perfect player
A realistic non-perfect 7k booster will still win 95%+ matches in 1-4k without even trying.
There are even Some are even good enough to never lose in those games even if their whole team is intentionally feeding
Cookie u r good but u see stuff from ur own prespective ppl r different for example u insist on not watching any guide and start analysing with your own knowledge to find out new stuff. Altho it's A strategy it's not THE strat. There are ways ad u chose one. Just give em a hint like u do and let em decide dont wonder why they're not doing a thing they dunno they could do

Yes, only guides id ever recommend would be from professor fieece, because those are the basicis.
You can watch some gameleap guide on pulling at 54 but youll never understand what effect that has without analysing it yourself.

Almost every 6k+ player i know does some type of game analysis
Some do it on spot, some watch 8k pub games, some watch pro games etc.
I only know a couple who're straight out geniuses and got to 6k+ with only experience within 2k games of starting to play
