i think because of the number of lifestealers we are suddenly seeing. its just another way to initiate and find pickoffs without needing the vision like u do if u wanted to blink initiate.
when you dont need to break hg, but instead its a stalemate where small skirmishes happen with the whole team 5 manning around the map, trying to smoke around each other
vision wont always be guaranteed since there's always a risk of getting outmaneuvered if you stray from safe territory ie you get initiated on
shadowblade on key initiators can create optimal situations in which you will be able to slowly but surely gain an advantage and push closer to their hg. also makes the enemy supp cry even harder because he now has to buy detection items

I see lots of people build a shadow blade on magnus... what is the value in this?
I feel blink, force, echo etc are much stronger items?
