There are games where no silence is fine till level 8, also there are games where maxed arrow on 7 is good.

^sure, I am mainly triggered by people not skilling silence because it's most often a terrible thing when you play against heroes like ember etc, I do not care about people not skilling it if it is not needed
drow counters ember through silence, physical damage and knockback, and you're not using a good chunk of that advantage, that's stupid as fuck, unless you have a very specific reason for doing so
I saw a drow get dived and killed by ember because he didn't skill gust, but if he had gust, it would've been ember that died (in 3k bracket embers think it is wise to dive drow, but apparently it actually really is because a 3k drow really doesn't have a silence or knockback, funny how it matches up), people also have yet to grasp the concept of adapting the skill build to the game at 3k
Versus Ember would be an obvious example of when to skill silence. Clock also, you can push him out of cogs and then destroy the cog and fuck off.
I am also pretty sure that riki without smoke is even more painful to watch than drow without gust though, and I've seen a fair chunk of those in NS. Even against anti mage. In your opinion, is there ever a reason not to skill smoke on riki as early as possible? I mean, aside from reserving a skill point at level 2 to get either blink strike or smoke to secure a kill, whatever is needed.
Smoke on level 2 no exception. Unless you got a level and someone is escaping on low hit points and you need Blink Strike to finish them off, and that scenario will not happen ever. Also max fucking Smoke, slow gets better and AoE get insanely better. So either 4-4-1-1 or 4-1-4-1.

Lifesteal is absolutely not required for Drow. Better build is :
Wraith Band, salve -> Dragon Lance (helps survivability) -> crystalys -> evasion -> Daedalus -> butterfly/BKB
Believe me, with Daedalus and butterfly, you can kill an aegis wraith with ease 1 v 1
If the game is not done by now, just keep increasing agility
well, normal skill builds can be good against normal skill opponents, but if you are high skill genius, care to explain the logic behind why this build wont work in high skilled matches?
Doesn't mean it's good. I used to max smoke back in dota 1 cause it rly scaled well, I find its shit here all levels mostly. I'd still level it up over invis but in conjunction with blink.
Same with trash lifesteal on drow, fucking retards don't know shit

I'm not going to throw away something that works just because pros popularized a bad strat. And I max invis first mainly because of damage, fade delay is also good. And smoke scaling is overrated.
its not precisely overrated considering all of his spells scale dramatically bad, smoke's just less useless than the rest
