get sentries/dusts in the early game, the gem costs 900g. that's a lot of gold for the early game.
especially that these heroes won't have much DPS/CC in the early game.
Early gem is good if u r playing 5M doto. Its worth even on 10th min cuz lets u destroy enemy wards and reach full-map control
That'll only work if u have 2 supports because if u only have 1 , he can't solo support and spend 900gold on gem unless ur up by a lot.
Also itll help to have defensive heroes like omni or Oracle or abaddon or dazzle to save gem carrier
all those heroes need to snowball to stay relevant the problem is alot of supports get greedy and stop buying sentries and let them get to far ahead for sentries to do anything

Generally, do you think early gem against Riki, Nyx, Bh etc is good? How good considering the risk. Also hoping to get the gem back (with for example Nature's Prophet travelling to their base, snatching the gem and tp back)
