I'm sure first pick Slark is garbage even in pubs where that hero is more obnoxious due to his skillset. But if you get last pick Slark in an appropriate game he is really strong. He is much like Storm where idiot players forget that it can solo kill you once it has items and they just run down sidelanes and into jungle and feed you until the game is basically unloseable.

^ i agree that slark could be a nightmare at some situations but the problem is at +5k games slark is the 3rd most picked hero so basically +5k players think he works in every game but according to this link http://www.dotabuff.com/heroes/meta thats totally wrong and they know it but they still keep picking him everygame because hes funny

How is Slark fun to play? I know "fun" is definitely subjective, but I don't know how people can find that hero more fun than Jugg, Naix or even Sven.

Ppl counter him very hard. Thats the reason of low winrate

Jug is fun cuz he can fight at any early or late . I dunno slark is my most played hero I played him before he was meta and found him ok when I tried him some when he was meta but already seemed weaker since everyone got used to playing against him . Now after nerfs I don't bother playing him anymore even though I still think he's good I prefer playing other carries now . Imo I think people try hard vs slark due to getting stomped by him in the past and to top it off he's a bit weaker now too.

I think slark is kind of deceptive cus he's a pretty awful offlaner, yet pubs run him there, and he blows early, he really needs those levels and skills and he needs farm. He's deceptive cus he can come out and solo kill carries with double his net worth with just shadow blade and echo sabre or basher, but he BLOWS without those couple items, he is squishy and lacks dmg and will die without ult. So yeah he comes online fast but he is a very weak carry before that.

Same as PL,slark is a very situational pick that excels at being the final nail in the coffin in draft,they are so easy to counter but pretty much seals the deal on the right team against the right opponent,but overall the hero is quite weak all around

i love slark but he's definitely not strong enough to be considered first pick material

main problem with slark is that he is really frail early game, against ranged heroes due to his low armour? Like weaver with points in geminite could zone him out from mid totally? (it's a question)

Against melees he can just trade hits easily with essence shift though(with more points in it early on it must be hell)...

I feel like I only lose with slark if I have rough early game (like 1vs2 safelane (no supp vs dual off)), otherwise min 10-12 SB seals the deal, lul.

He's a shitty offlaner , I haven't really seen him offlane since I was lower mmr .

Probably one of the most support dependent safelaners in the laning stage against a LOT of matchups. Can't do ancients. Snowballs really hard though.

In 4k a lot of ppl pick are first-picking slark because they think he's op and they are pro but then they get heavily countered (e.g. by anti-mage)

Slark is not weak but people always target/counter Slark first and is wery hard to farm them at begining.

This is what happens when I pick slark. Kunkka randoms, there's my awesome lane support, we go up against a clinkz and brew master. Awesome. Ember somehow wins mid vs a storm and ganks me like 4 times too.

Nah, his winrate is slow because hes picked in every game in the 1k-3k pubs.

The hero is defiently OP, has a lot of counters, but that doesn't mean he isnt op.
