I have spent 70-80 dollars on Dota so far atleast maybe more , game is such a great game don't mind throwing some cash towards it .
I have spent $1,000+ on Dota, was it worth it? Probably not. Everything is spent on treasures expect an arcana. I like opening treasures, but don't care extremely much about the cosmetic itself.
If you are willing to spend thousands of hours playing Dota, then surely you should be willing to spend some money as well. Time = money. I have spent a few hundred $, but nothing crazy. Do I miss that money? No, because if I hadnt spent it here, then it would have just been spent elsewhere on entertainment activities. If you dont work, then you should ask yourself why you are even playing games, unless you are 13ish or younger.
Spent around 60$. Atm I'm 200$ in inventory, and I sold Skyrim online to my friend for 50$ yesterday.
Worth it? Yeah, lol
As a software engineer I very well understand the costs of the infrastructure that is necessary to have DotA run as it does, all with updates and port to new engine and such, not to mention the money-hours necessary to create all the content in first place.
DotA is a very costly game to make and maintain and as such, I do not mind paying some of my money to help it out, though I am relatively poor so it's not much. But with 1300+ hours of DotA I might've cost Valve more in terms of shared expense + bandwidth.
If you have a real job in a 1st world country, the cost of anything in dota wouldn't even cause a blip on the radar...

Say youre part of or even not yet part of the working class, would you really spend real money on doto? despite all the cancer games, bad teamates, lag, tilts, rage and all the negative stuff? thoughts?
