Shadow pool = you can only play against bots people created or other people who are in shadowpool. Also you can only queue on US West. Usually you get there by starting multiple instances of dota or abuse matchmaking to gain MMR.
Hidden pool = some shit an autistic kid named Wave made up.

1st exists, 2nd doesn't.
