I've played on amateur teams before and one of the hardest things was organising training sessions, keeping the actual team in check, basically all the boring stuff. I excel at this because of my background. I know this is a bit out of the ordinary as when in amateur stage it's usually the captain that deals with this stuff. The reason I'm taking a different approach is because I want a UK team on the EU, and hopefully international scene. Instead of thinking about it I'm doing something about it.

So basically you are looking forwards to be a manager of some strong team playing in real competitive dota scene, and not just a bunch of 4ks in 5th division of JDL?
@TripleSteal - Correct. I want to grow this team into a force to be reckcond with. It'll take a long time but I'm confident, with the right people, it can be done.
@dropping mmr and dropping - Have added you to steam. What position would you want to tryout for?
actually players are pretty bad to do shit on their own having/manager or coach as 6h helps alot in teams atleast from my experiences
then you need to set some basic skill requirements, i think. the easiest way is to put a mmr (who do i want to put "an" instead of "a" here?) threshold.
otherwise it would be extremely difficult to make a good team out of people who not only got no idea of how to cooperate and organize stuff themselves, but also have problems with personal game skill.
that's what the tryouts are for. might be being naive but a want to give anyone a chance. it comes from previous experience of working in the drama sector. I've cast people in plays when they havent had any experience because they auditioned for me. It's just a kinda of rule a live by. If you want to you should get the chance.
I completely agree with Vaikiss I have played in about 4 teams some of which were really decent but it kinda faded cause of lack of management and it was a constant struggle to organize shit as we all had decently busy schedules.

I'm the "Coach", of a CS:GO Team we started with a few friends, and if this one guy wouldn't go around and oraganize scrims and tournaments in his freetime we wouldn't Play anything at all.
Well when we win TI it'll prob be TI 10 and the prize fund will be $2 billion so Id take $10 million and be quite happy haha. But I am looking into percentages of cuts and all the at the mo because I've done stuff like that before when running me theatre company and know it can be a headache.

I'm not a 6k MMR player (actually my MMR after 2 years of playing is awful) but what I am good at is managing. My background is in theatre. I've directed plays, worked as a teacher at a youth theatre and ran my own theatre company for a while. On top of all that I'm 29 and not called fear. As you can guess, I’d like too manage this team rather than play on it.
