Solo is a bit more competitive, while in party you face higher skilled players more often and have a chance to learn from them.
Both are nice as long as you are actually willing to improve.

solo is good for training awareness and mechanics , party is good for coordination and synergy i would say

but yeah to learn its better to stack with players way better than you

I stacked with people way better than me for half a year and I feel like I improved nothing :(

i stacked with 5k players for like 10 games and that alone helped me get from 3k to 4k

when you stack with good teammates chances are you gonna play against good opponents.
you get dumpstered so bad that you learn to position better/ pay more attention to the game

i stacked with ninja for 40 games and it helped me to get to 4k
im not there yet but seems like im about to reach it

I pick practice heros usually in party and try hard in solo. One day I think ill try to raise my party mmr and go on huge win streak. Maybe ill recruit a team to go on a rape train with.
