league is really simple easier and not complex as dota. your question alrdy been answered a million time on league forum C9 DD.
I know about the differences between dota and lol gameplay. I just want to set a goal so i can practice and try to reach it. I want to reach a MMR above most players, so i can practice with good players and improve my skills faster. I'm currently high diamond in lol and i always like to challenge myself, so dota being more complex is not a real problem for me. Actually its one of the reasons i'm moving to dota, i love all that micro management which LOL lacks, except for some guys like zed and azir but they are not even close to some dota heroes like chen.
Btw, any hero recommendations?

well you can sort of make things out from this chart,
Bronze <1500
Silver 1501-2000
Gold 2001-2500
Platinum 2500-2900
Diamon 2900-3600
Challenger - 3600+
I dont know this is pretty rough but you can make it out for yourself.
^Is that elo ratings from League (the numbers) or is that comparion from League ranks to Dota rating? If that's the case you're totally wrong lol
@Waloo thanks this was exactly what i wanted! So, after some hundreds of ranked matches, i will know if i got to the skill level i wanted, or if i still have to practice and improve my gameplay so i can reach a higher mmr.
His humbers are not at all equilavant to lol>-<dota
How can you know where you want to be? Makes no sense
@c9 DD
well obviously we're pretty aware that 3.6k doesnt represent the best players in dota but challenger does represent the best players in league, this is just according to the % of total players playing the game in each bracket. In reality I would say if you would have to be like 5k mmr to be challenger. I think the League ranking system is just flawed cause only a limited amount of people can be in challenger while in dota any number of players can have 5k mmr.
^ blablabla.. you suck dick in dota 2 period. that what the f ag ment to say
yeah all those 3k people who only single target lion stun and cant buy sentries ever are definitely challenger tier
@linux
You mentioned you like brood but what LoL heroes do you like? LoL has a lot of similar heroes that are "inspired by" ults, styles, or kits in Dota.
So one thing i will say to look at is the skill brackets (which you also get from non ranked). Normal is the bottom 75%, High the next 15%, and Very high the top 10%. I'm not sure exactly on the LoL league breakdowns, but somewhere in the mid 3k's you break into very high consistently.
We really need to do a report on the breakdowns here since we collect MMR data. the problem is that our data tends to skew high-end since low MMR players are much less likely to passionately track their MMR.

I love playing riven, fizz, lee sin, yasuo, zed. I'm addicted to high skillcap champions that show me clearly when i'm doing the right thing, and also punish me heavily for my mistakes, bc i find it easier to track my mistakes and avoid making them again. From what i've seen here, i would like to play in the High or Very High skill level in dota, or around 3k mmr. I think that playing frequently with good players is a great way to improve my own gameplay, and it's much harder to improve if i'm surrounded by players that don't take the game seriously.
I really liked broodmother because it has everything in like in a hero/champion. Lane bully, able to 1v2 lanes, good juke/outplay potential, low skill floor but seems to have a high skill cap with all that micro mechanics.
Okay, i'll add you when i log in the game!
I probably can't get a low ping in the EU servers. If i can't, do you know if there are any intermediate server where an european and a brazilian player could play together with acceptable ping for both? Maybe South Africa?
challenger is much closer to 5k
almost everyone here is making up nonsense.
Also, is Raa trying to claim that DD is someone worse at dota than he is.
Honestly Lawlie... I don't know how you walk into threads on these forums and not clean up the trash :(

Hello. I am new to Dota and i'm trying to learn as much as possible about the game so i can go straight into rankeds when i get level 13. I would like to know if there is some table comparing each tier in League of Legends to an interval of MMR in Dota, so i can track my progress better (e.g : platinum = 3000~4000 mmr). Also, i would appreciate some tips of heroes which i should learn. I have played LOL for a long time and ive always been a top/mid laner who likes lane bullies and champions who can stomp the enemy really early. I just fell in love with Broodmother because she is exactly this kind of hero but i would like other options too, since she is easily counterpicked.
Thx in advance and sorry for my bad english.
