Good Engrand. You don't have to change your habit, just use whatever you feel most comfortable with, other people's opinion doesn't matter. But if you want to switch, just play a couple of games with the new hotkeys, I think it's not that hard to get used to new things.

I started to play dota on 6.27 version .. but im newbie on d2. :_)
In D1; hero spell, shortcut, warkey (keyboard lesson).. we need time to learn in noobmode..
But now in D2; u can change any spell to any keys; like quit cast , autocast, like naruto key QWE,, etc. Thats so fast.
BTW I wanna know how to change our habbit..( i played d1 over 7years but i installed d2 5months ago) :_)
