it's just probability really
assuming you have a 50% chance of winning a game and if that diminishes slightly as you go up in mmr, over a span of hundreds of games, there will be bound to be a period where you spike up and keep winning
thats why we have people who hit a spike, reach a 'high' mmr, then when they drop back down, they attribute it to other reasons when in the first place they shouldn't have been up there
Suna, before this i also lost 7 games straight and from what u can see went from 1700 to 2500.
