First up, I have pretty decent internet speed that fluctuates between 20~30 mbps for upload and download speed.
Never used to have a problem with ping in dota but recently whenever I use Skype while gaming or if I have a lone browser opened on a page like youtube, the in game ping randomly spikes like mad.
It's not like the ping went from 5 ms to a constant 50 or something like that, it just spikes and with huge packet loss making the game unplayable. Sometimes the game even runs fine until 20 minutes into my Skype call and suddenly I'm hit with 40% packet loss and 1000 ping...
