when u play in a game which average mmr is lower, ur division decreases; and hero score strongly depends on divisions. so even if u win and go down in division, u lose overall score.
The division component of the score is based on where your MMR was when last played the hero. So if your MMR used to be higher and you recently played a hero at lower MMR the score decreases.

I bought DotaBuffPlus a few days ago to keep an eye on my personal heroscore.
Why does the score decreas if I win a match, I know i get less points for a lower MMR match as I wld get for a higher one, but why the decrease :<
Hope someone can explain it for me
