I think there has to be a limit before you inevitably make something too complex to actually consider it fun. Obviously it would make a lot of heroes stronger and would allow for more playstyles, but having each hero set "as they are" so to speak in the long run makes the game a lot easier to understand and play I feel
even in league it just turns into
ad-> attack pen
ap-> magic pen
tank-> armour/hp regen
support-> mana regen
so everyone would end up witht he same boosts, and the game would just rebalance to make it pointless
runes and masteries are pointless
Dota is already borderline too complicated. If you want more attack speed buy attack speed items.

LoL hating aside, if such a system was to be introduced to dota for FREE, would you like it?
For those who don't know, its basically a pre-game setup which will affect whatever hero you play in the game from the instant it starts. The benefits are very 'minor' but can be very game influencing. For example, starting with 50 more hp or having an extra 10 ms or more base hp regen. Players could tailor their masteries/runes to their own playstyles.
I think it could actually add a crazy amount of depth to dota and it could open up many new possiblities. Of course, said system would need its values tweaked to fit dota.
