Highest MMR's will get targeted cause the other team can see they're the highest so want to give them a hard time.
The higher you go, the more people will be at your lane, especially if you're mid or safe lane farmer. It sucks big time, but if you hold and dont go on feedtrain, rest of the team will make something with all that space.

Top mmr 50 higher than others. 4 ganks in 8 minutes. This has never happened in my 2k games.
