Why not a mid hero? Buy your own courier and own them in lane if have to.
At this MMR I'd wager on who you're able to play the best, whether it be TA or Slark or Jugg.
^ I've seen that joke too much .-. also I play mid occasionally but sometimes it's taken so I need a substitute carry. any other answers?
Ive played under 2.5k and i can say this to you with confidence that any carry will do, as long as you keep farming and farming items but dont forget lane > jungle. People at this tier stick as 5 or 3 too early resulting in easy pickoffs and low low farm which means you have lvl and farm advantage.
Wraith King, Juggernaut, Silencer, Riki, Troll and Spirit Breaker. Necrolyte as well if you don't find him boring to play.
As Miku said though, farming is actually the easiest way to win in lower MMR.
If you make a big enough impact on the role you are laying, you'll probably win the game no matter what (even as a support).
You have to pick the right heroes. There are heroes that will just make your team lose in your mmr like wisp or even chen or something. Try and pick team independent heroes, I think those are the key to getting out of your skill level.
Also, as others have said, always criticize yourself and not others. Focus on your own mistakes. Look at Aui_2000's replays for tips on how to analyze your own replays. You won't see everything, but you'll at least be able to get rid of the most blatant ones.
SF. Farm up lotars and just auto-attack.
No need even to hit razes for killing potential, use it to push out lanes and kills creeps.
It takes a bit of practice but generaly spekaing it's possible to grind mmr with him easy.
No mid Carry with early game impact but still match pretty well end game

- Spirit Breaker
- Blood
- Viper
- Riki
- Gyro
But as someone said, many carries can do that job as long as you're playing them well
If you can play Meepo/Storm play those mid and you'll crush everyone. But that's assuming you're better than them/actually know how to play those heroes.
Otherwise just pick riki/sniper every game, you can't go wrong with those no matter how bad you are.
with void you have to press Q quickly to escape.
with riki you just do nothing to escape.
we're talking 2k here.

If you're good, aka if you belong higher than your current mmr you should win EVERY SINGLE game with these heroes, no matter how your team plays.
I've gotta agree with TONY Void is surely Tier 1 in that bracket. Good pickoff potential mid game with MoM + Maelstrom and obviously good late game potential.

So what would be a high impact carry, scales well into late game and can snowball a bit from getting early game kills? That isn't a mid hero e.g Night Stalket, QoP. Also doesn't need a heap of farm, e.g just get a couple of cores. I know all carries need farm but which ones don't need a lot to be effective. Ones I know of: Sven, Troll Warlord and maybe Chaos Knight? Thanks
