1. Time doesn't matter it all depends on the rune. If you get a good rune and you see an easy kill GO for it. If you think you can't kill anyone, just continue farming.
2. You don't always have to buy pipe, mek, it's situational.
3. Fuck that hero, he's boring. :D No he's not that bad, but lets say there are better heroes than him. If you want to climb MMR just play what you want, what you're comfortable playing and what you think you're good at, I think that's the best way to climb MMR.

I love getting illusion rune with tiny late game when u have aghs manta drums ac then in team fight boom double manta and wreck everything towers explode rax gone enemy panic and call gg.
About Lanaya, don't fucking gank. It's not your job to win other players lanes. Farm mid and beat the shit out of theirs mid. Gank when you find a good rune. And have a TP on you so you can make them pay for foolish dives.
About Omni, totally wrong question. There aren't items for heroes, only items for situations. Meaning - sometimes Mek, sometimes Pipe or Aghs or Vlads or SnY or Eul or whatever.
CK is extremely strong hero. However you must get gold during laning phase, be it from creeps or heroes. Drums, Armlet, SnY, Manta are all great on him, just select ones that fit the specific game you are in. Heart is by far the best item for Nessaj, dmg, insane hp, Armlet permanently on, and perfect synergy with ulty.
What GG said about Lanaya is bang on the money. Sit on mid for at least the first 15 minutes and own it. The enemy will often realise you're a threat to them and start rotating heroes to deal with you, then you kill them, and continue to stay mid. Just wait for heroes to come to you to die.
Even if you get a haste or DD rune, yes you could go gank a side lane, or you could go back to mid with it and kill the enemy mid and continue farming. Your net gain will be greater from just staying mid, and you want to be as farmed as possible going into the mid game.
just go for recomended stuff on heroes... in 2k mmr bracket u can make everything on every hero and still win..
just improve ur gameplay and ur decisions
From my experience, a TA with haste even at 4 min mark can dive a tower and still get a kill without her hp dropping half.

So I have a couple of questions that hopefully you guys can answer, I made this and I don't want to make 5 threads so I just decided to bunch them all up in this thread.
Question 1:
When you are playing Mid Templar Assassin when should you gank other lanes? At the 7 mins mark when all the wards run out? I'm not exactly sure. If you are unsure you can successfully get a kill on the other lanes should you just continue farming and attempt to get a solo kill on the opposing mid when the time comes? Or should you gank every opportunity you have? E.G get a DD or a haste rune, but even if you don't get one should you still attempt to gank if you are unsure you can get a kill on the other lanes? Or should you just stay and farm...
Question 2:
If you play omniknight should you get pipe/mek depending on the situation skip pipe/mek and get aghs asap?
Question 3:
Is Chaos Knight good? Or does he suck, I've heard he needs a lot of farm but when I played him I get Drums>Armlet and then it was real easy to get kills. And snowball from there, Earthshaker? BKB, Lich? BKB I have a friend that played just Chaos Knight and got nearly 200 mmr, though he is in 1.5k at the moment, his Dotabuff: http://www.dotabuff.com/players/56739254 Should I try this in 2k mmr?
