If you want to spend some time playing with folks in the Very High Skill bracket you can easily get matched with one at https://dotacoach.org. I built the site because playing with really good players helped me to improve (though I still suck).
The coaches on the site will coach or play with you, give you 1-1 advice and tell you how to best improve your game.
My very 1st game there was already in "High Skill Bracket" and you can also see 4 games that is "Normal Skill Bracket" (Thats when i party with 2-4 of my friends who are Normal Skill Bracket players) and now, my solo games are almost all "Very High Skill Bracket". Just want to share it with you, maybe you can get some clues

i actually improved my farming a bit. started aiming for 6cs/min, instead of 4.
Im high skill looking at high skill looking at 3 brackets i have 2 hiddens and party mmr, 200 mmr from solo high skill, and you cant just bee gud at 1 hero that is only good when not countered.
tbh, i was browsing my match history and found out that it had me 8 months to go high skill then just 1 month to climb to vhs if im not mistaken.
i really dont know how i got here haha
maybe time is the key (if u keep learning and improving)
no shit i'm seriously high about 60% of the games i play.I guess it is one of the advantages of playing in a premium cyber cafe,One person buys dank kush or stardust,everyone gets a fix :D.
