Your MMR is not accurate until you consistently maintain a certain number for 100 ranked matches with the same hero.
hes so proud over his games with sniper lmfao, hes posting 1 thread every week about his sniper
My friend calibrated at 4.6 playing exclusively Techies... 4.4k with Sniper isn't that big of a deal

I have to agree, that a lot of people make smurfs and choose to main one hero then make multiple threads about how good they think the hero is and how easy it is. I am glad you managed to get 4400 playing sniper on a smurf account but its not that hard to get 4K with a new account, in fact I would be surprised if you didn't.
Varying your hero pool allows for you to pick ideal heroes for each game/scenario which would see you win more games or be more effective which in turn would be a higher winrate and/or MMR.

What are you trying to say? Do you think that people who calibrate low and work their way up to 4k are somehow better than another player that is 4k on a new account? If they are both hovering around the same rating, then what difference does it make? You don't fall into this category, but I think there are a lot of ~3k players that believe they are in some kind of trench and that 4k is super easy to get to if they smurf. I'm not saying that 4k is hard to get to, but those 3k players are full of shit, and have no idea how bad they are because they just play with other equally shit players.
I haven't played sniper yet, but I do see potential with him. He is very hard to deal with because of his huge range, and he can keep spamming shrapnel on your towers and dealing damage and taking all your towers without too much risk, of course he starts to hurt quite a big and his headshot is just annoying. Some heroes like Storm can fuck with him completely, but otherwise he can be super annoying come mid game.
actually with the way calibration works its way more impressive to calibrate at 4.4 than to climb to 4.4
You can also suck a lot of dick at your job to get into a better paying role rather than working towards it but it doesn't mean you qualify for that role. You're removing the steps it takes to get to a place where you're playing better and short cutting your way to a point where you're playing with the rating but not with the skill of the rating. This is why 4K's and low 5K matches are really watered down cause you have 2-3 people per game who have the rating but don't have the skill to be in said rating cause they didn't take the time to earn it through improving.
lol doesn't buy chicken and ward automatically qualify for support ?
sniper is fun, try and see lol
jesus..are you serious havoc? I mean I knew you kids on here were stupid, ignorant and whatever, but delusional as well?
If someone runs 100 metres in 20 seconds, and they work on it and work on it and eventually they run it in 15 seconds. you are saying that they are faster than someone that has just recently started but also ran 15 seconds? I mean that is an objective measurement, and its the same with MMR. If someone is calibrated at 4k, that is where or roughly where they should be. That's not the result of 1 or 2 games, its the result of 100+ games, or in my case for fuck knows what reason, like 230 matches. If someone has grinded up from 2k to 4k, how the fuck does that make them any better? You are just assuming that they are going to continue to rise which may or may not be the case.
Assumptions like that are based on nothing but the product of an individual allowing their likes and dislikes to completely take over any critical thinking. A 4k player is a 4k player, that is the end of it. You can make whatever predictions you want about the future, but keep your god awful analogies and hilarious thought processes to yourself.
in the past games like dota were relatively alien to many people, but over time, both through experience and exposure to other games, many people come to dota with a mind for these kind of games and are able to develop adequate mechanical skills quite quickly.
I can't remember who was saying this, think it was on reddit or something, if someone has a weakness in a particular area (mechanics/game knowledge/etc), they are compensating for that with something else which is why they are at their current MMR.
i still don't have mine yet tho lol, 2 ranked to go
I totally agree shadowblade isn't a good option in many cases.
Do it only if in huge advantage or huge disadvantage lol
if sniper maxes shrapnel against puck its a 50/50 lane. puck nukes are good if the puck can bottle crow efficiently. if sniper doesnt get shrapnel and you lose as puck you gotta reevaluate what your lifes true meaning is.
HOWDOYOUGETSLICED does have a point.
But, how accurate is the calibration system????
I'd choose a 4k player with 3k games experience over a new account 4k player any day.
