muting is just valve's way of reminding you that you're the shit part of the community, whether you know it or not.
instead of trying to blame whoever reported you, why don't you try to avoid getting muted in the first place by not being a mega douche to everyone in your games.
i sometimes get pissed off in my games but the last time i got muted was when the feature was just weeks old, and if im not muted even though i get angry in some of my games, then you must be on a whole 'nother level of being an asshole to get muted.

Muting in a TEAMGAME it's a bullshits, there is no REAL need to mute someone in a game where the comunication it's the most fondamental thing.
If i get angry it's beacouse i care about my games.

You dont need to say a fucking word to win a pub game of dota, one of the best rated players ( 7,4k mmr ) mutes everyone in his team at the start of the game and he still wins, it helps with concentration.
Is hard to focus when someone like you is bitching on the chat, i dont care about the insults but the one second that i wasted reading it could be used to actually try to win the game.
Isn't lose the game itself, it's lose the game beacouse people can't press buttons for use skills.

communication is helpful if you're using it properly. since you got muted, you clearly aren't, that's why the mute system is here, to stop people using it for flaming and to inform them that they should stop.
pings are generally enough. if you're split pushing you don't need assistance. if you're in a fight, ping whoever to focus. if you're a support about to gank, alt click your abilities to say they're off cooldown and ping whoever you want to kill. all this can be done without typing and therefore while muted.
generally your teammates will just make you play worse. if you are doing bad, they will flame you for doing badly. if you are doing well, they will flame you because you're not pulling enough weight on the team. there is nothing you can do to dissuade delusioned idiots from flaming, they'll find excuses for anything, so just mute them.
if you want to rage just press ctrl+a then delete your message instead of sending it. gets the rage out but doesn't negatively impact your teammates
Yeah like people can realy coordinate themself without voice chat anyway, it's like "Hey dude i'm going to gan- too late maybe later", No one watch your mana before start a fight EVEN you ping it. They just doesn't care.
Ping on the ground arn't enough when you are muted, there are so many things who can happen and you have to ping for fast inform all. Like you are under doom's doom and you have run out of pings. And it happen, in last game, even with pings.
