I also think that the unforgivness that exists in the game atm is because of the deathball meta. I meam look at the ti4, vg had almost no chance of comeback. Sure the enemies capitalized their mistakes but the heores also helped them snowballing out of control.
IMO atm much of the meta is like
Player A does a mistake->enemy player B exploits it(25% increased chance to win)-> enemy player B plays a hero that punishes you hard for your mistakes(25% increased chance to win)
there are tons of variations in which you can draft in dota, saying X strat is the new meta just because it won TI is only looking at the small picture. I can guarantee that there are tons of drafts that could have beaten that draft but at the time the person drafting could not think of it.
an example of this is void has had the insane bash dmg in chrono since 6.79 but people just now are realizing how much dmg he can pump out........

Lol! It's not like all games are balanced. There are plenty of games where you can do whatever you want and still win the game.
I've seen plenty of lost team fights because of doom on creep / illusion, naga sleep over ravage / blackhole, etc, but not always game was lost, and when was lost, was not lost only because of that single mistake.

there is no dota 2 meta.........it is literally everyone just blindly following what they think is the 'best'.
