it has to do with ur total teams mmr vs your enemies total mmr and then it also takes in account death assists kills TD GPM XPM u can actually lose mmr from a win if u do poorly vs a team with much lower mmr i cant be fucked finding u the link but valve did release a statement explaining it slightly

farming kills like a mongoloid does not mean you should get extra points.....

          Quick maffs

Its probably related to you playing with your friend, it probably means that you should have won those games pretty hard

This is what happens when you queue game modes like cm and cd. Play ap ranked, and you will grant +25/-24 almost every game.

@Quack I don't think so because if TD, GPM and XPM would really matter than support players would have much lower MMR.

@Dorkly So losing in a party takes more MMR and winning in a party grants less?

@)) Why is that? I usually play CM because I usually get matched with vetter players at this mode. But I think I'm gonna start abusing Skywrath to gain MMR like a scum.

No, losing in a party makes you lose more MMR when you're expected to win games with your MMR and communication advantage.

The matchmaking system tries to create teams that both have a 50% chance of winning.

You only got +23 MMR because you had a higher chance of winning because the MMR couldn't get a perfect 50% chance, and you won the game you were expected to win, just like how 6k pros sometimes get something like +1 MMR, because the enemy team's average MMR was lower than their team's.

You lose 32 MMR because you were in a game that should have been won, e.g. maybe the odds were 55/45 in your favour according to the MMR values of your team, and you still lost. You lose more, and the enemy gain more MMR because they won against a supposedly better opponent.

In the 23 MMR example bit, the MMR system maybe got a 52/48 win expectancy for your team compared to the enemy team's chance of winning, hence why you got slightly less than usual.

Your stats outside of the calibration games have no impact on MMR gained or lost at the end of the game, only whether the game was a win or a loss, because at the end of the day, winning games is what matters. People who complain about losing MMR despite doing well in games fail to see the bigger picture that at the end of the day, if they perform well in multiple matches, those matches will balance out the losses where said players play well, but still lose, resulting in an overall gain in MMR even if you do have a few games where " [your] teammates sucked "
