I do because I'm a boss like that. Just saying. I call out if anyone wants the bottle and if no one calls in time then I sell it, otherwise I drop it in the base.
Yeah usually ask around if I remember. Though in a pinch, if I'm 300 away from my next item, I just sell it.
Usually the supports at that time will be 6 slotted as well (wards/tps/boots/wand/makings towards mek/push/etc)

This is frequent for me as well. Well....... I'll say supports usually carry "carry" support items more than what frosty mentioned. Either way they are full most of the time.
@Sampson
I tried to buy bottle for mid player, but my team immediately started screaming:
"Give me ward!"
"Give me 2 tangoes!"
"OMG, noob, buy some items!"
Heh... Kids...
IDK i wonder.... if having a support buy a bottle for the hero off the bat would be a good idea or not. Always wanted to try it and see if it worked. Suppose it would depend on your mid hero and you being broke for a long time, and hoping he would gank your lane so you could recover that 650 gold some.
because by the time you want to sell it chances are they will be able to do just fine without your bottle anyway.

I know, you get 325g for selling it, but support really needs some extra regen sometimes, he can conserve runes and he still can control+click use this Bottle on you. So why not to support the support: "Hey, you doing good job with all those wards around! Here is Bottle for ya!" =)
Seriously, why not?
