i gave it a 10 before i saw it...
would change it smth from a 5 to a 7 but its a waste of time
I dont understand why people bitch and moan about free shit they are given, sound like a bunch of spoiled kids....
It isn't just about them and their success, it has a lot bigger meaning . I particular liked that part, when xyxy father was talking. It should be made, that every dota 2 player see that, and thinks about it.
^ This. Also, liked the Dendi part where he talked about his father. Besides playing dota, he used to spend a lot of time with his father... his father got cancer, but Dendi got over it, and you see him as happy as he is.
“Something knocks you down, you need to learn to get up. One way to forget about pain is to do something you will be in completely.” – Dendi
^ if u want to listen about srs emotional stuff go talk to first older bum/homeless person or people that attempted suicides when you hear stuff they went through Dendis story will be laughable to say the least
lel. ppl that attempted suicide are disgraceful persons if you ask me. it doesn't even compare to losing one of the persons that 'gave you birth'
I talked to homeless people plenty of times when I traveled for work for 7 years.
Last time I gave a homeless guy in Washington D.C. Money when he followed me into a Pizza Hut. All I had was pennies and some silver change since I hardly ever carried cash except for toll booths. Gave him what I have then he threw it in my face saying that I hated homeless people and screamed and spit in my face. Very embarrassing.
I really don't care for homeless people after that and never give out money since then to them. IDK why I seem to attract a lot of homeless people when i was traveling. Your experiences with homeless people may vary from mine....
Another good one was I was in Baltimore Maryland and saw a typical white hippie stoner "homeless" guy with dreadlocks, smelled of patchouli sandals, didn't look very homeless. He begged for $20 for a block and I finally just gave it to him. A black homeless guy came up to me that was at least 6 foot 5, very homeless looking, tough looking guy came up and was begging me for cash. I told him " I just gave that fake homeless guy $20.00 over there I bet he'd share. Saw the hippie get his ass beat. Very entertaining watching a bum fight.
Morale of the story: You never have cash on you when a homeless guy approaches you. Offer to buy them food, if they don't want it they are not homeless....
Either way back on topic yeah it was a good video. I enjoyed it.
I was crying in the dendi part, however Im a very emotional and kind guy:D
Liked the Movie.
^no one outside esports is gonna watch that. even i who played dota from the begining wont watch it just cuz im not into the game anymore, so ppl who never played dota/esports wont even ever hear about it and if they do , they wont be interested at all
@Yggdrasil
One of my old sociology professors is going to play it in one of his lectures next week
Amazing. Better than any of the movies I have paid to see recently. I would have paid money to watch that. In fact I paid 18$ for the free to play bundle and couldnt be happier! Although during the movie they kicked me square in the feels.
Downloading it now... just woke up after hangover drinks and shit... i guess it will be good to watch at 3am
To be honest I might watch it again tonight. I don't think ive ever watched a movie twice in the same day before.
Good stuff.
"Hey Dendi, play Enigma."
"But I've never played him before."
"So play him anyway."
"OK"
WIN
FYI Tobi: It's Dota, not Doter.

Damn i really felt this documentary... awesome moments.. really i never thought i will feel like this after a " dota" movie..
Great just great.. inspirational... and now i will call my ex cause i rly miss her :)
It was quick and painless. Nothing really different though. Family problems/deaths, what dota is, feelings during big events.) It was good for free, I wouldn't pay to watch it.
this is the best scene in my opinion.
"hyhy smoking"
"when did you start smoke"
"isnt that the time when you broke with your girl friend"
"little smile, and making a little gesture"
what a great guy.
I liked it a lot - emotional insight into the gamer's lifes as well as exciting game scenes with some nicely edited CGI in between.
Though this might confuse some people who don't know DotA2 into thinking that the game actually consists of these animations ;-)
feels like a good video for 15 year olds, lol. Was expecting something more mature like from VICE or Louis Theroux.

For those of you who saw the documentary, what did you think of it?
I found it a little bit underwhelming, but still entertaining enough to watch (especially the deleted scenes), though I'm surprised it took so long to make.
