The reason why people here complain?
Why else would you come here if not to complain?
People who are frustrated need a way to release their anger.
Yes, I did complain about everyone complaining. I came here to stalk other people's habit's and trends and see what other people have to say about the game. But all I see is just complaints
Seems to me every time I log on there's a flurry of hot topics talking about not being able to win with "these feeders," and you go through that person's history and you see not two games before the mentioned game they fucking fed a game away much worse than the game they link.
IMO in matchmaking the players that are actually better than the bracket they're in win about 55% of the time
the other 45% could be close games or blowouts leaving room to blame the other 80% of your team
People rage because a lot of games are coinflips and how that's unfair
The fact is both teams will have bad teammates and all the self centered people don't understand that
MM isn't perfect but its never going to be people have to accept the fact that it takes time to go up in ranked
That's my rant of the day
@Bear
no, that is not how it works. If you are lets say for example 1k MM lower than your true MM you will win like 75-80% of your games. I got valued at 3.3k MM when I ranked came out now I am 4.1k and still rising fairly easily. It becomes even easier because I get stronger teammates to make up for my undervalued MM.
@ Monkey,
I post mostly "discussion:" threads if you want to search for mine. I don't care for the complaining over MM all the time.
What I think they should do on here is have the "General discussion" and separate out "tactics on characters" or other thread filters like that. Dumping them all in one bin is very lame.
^Sampson, yep. My solo MMR has been skyrocketing since I started working on it. It's so insanely easy to win a game with a snap pick on Mirana or CM at this level that it's not even funny.
2/10 Complaints are legit stuff, not just scrubs in 5k tier complaining about 4k tier players. Not racism shit or some stupid crap either.
Complaining is fine. Complaining too much is a problem. Someone that doesn't complain at all would scare me.
" Loving an airport at a ship is like waiting for love you who doesn't loving someone. "
"I got valued at 3.3k MM when I ranked came out now I am 4.1k and still rising fairly easily."
I highly believe that its probably because you know how to win those kind of low mmr games, i am pretty sure that you dont win this kind of games picking supports or things like that, but picking heroes with you have high winrate with or picking heroes that are hard to play against in pubs.
while that is true matches like
http://dotabuff.com/matches/520911073
was won by bane.
Support contribution is hard to value because it does not as easy as seeing 'well look how great his kda is'. Constant wards, constant ganks, dewarding, AGGRESSIVE WARDS (OMG I can not stress this, nobody needs rune wards 50mins into the game.......) linking spell cds in chat, body blocking to save core heroes etc.
Watch how Notail plays support in pubs
Oh dont get me wrong i have played with support players that are really good players and they can easily win a pub game alone, but usually what i see is that is way more effective playing support knowing someone else from your team so you can talk with them and make plays and shit.
I actually like to play support sometimes, but its a risk in pubs because i am pretty bad at it.
I have wached notail, i love how he plays disruptor in pubs ( i like the hero ).
I am not so much worried about complains as much as I am for people being dicks.
I've tried (very few times) to promote some good teaming up, since a lot of people who complain here (I complain too sometimes) got some good potential.
Yet the replies you get are just shocking.
Sometimes i think the only replies you can get here are from 12 year old people high on their hormones.
A shame really, could be so nice to setup a good group or even a "clan" of dotabuff inside the game where people reunite.

I have two accounts, one is 4.5k party that I use when I take adderall with 4 other real life friends, and this one at 3.3k(started at 3k, getting it up), which I play regularly on. I honestly see very little difference in skill levels despite the 1.2k gap.
But seriously, everyone here is complaining about literally everything. Peruvian invoker fed? "Fucking spic, feeder fucking noob." Headstrong teammate that wants people to follow his orders? "Fucking moron trying to make people listen to shitty calls" Got a string of Russian teammates 3-4 games in a row? "BETTER HIT THE DOTABUFF FORUMS, THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE EVER." MMR making you play with lower-than-average-for-their-rating players? "System's totally broken."
For fucks' sake people, contribute positively. Reach out and be nice before you have to call someone out on constantly being out of position. If you're nice first you might only need to ask the person once to do what you need from them. Maybe they won't listen, maybe they'll be childish back, but at least you were mature first and are actively attempting to influence the game positively. 9 times out of 10 if I've been nice first I can normally get other players to do whatever I want just through a positive attitude.
Be the change you want to see in other people :)
