Opinions on Different Invoker Builds in General Discussion
Wink

This question is directed specifically at seasoned Invoker players, but all opinions are welcome.

What do you feel is a better option for building Quas Exort Invoker? A lot of players like to do stuff like Orchid or Scythe right after midas, then get Aghs wayyyyy later (like at level 20, after getting stuff like, hex, orchid, shivas, bkb), but I usually go for more mobile items like pushstick, euls, blink, and then aim for aghanims by level 17 (so i have 2 second invoke cd), followed by refresher. Obviously items like orchid are great against heavy casters like SS, but im talking about an in general item choice, which build do you prefer and why?

i go for the green boots then midas then rush euls so i can go snipe off enemy carries with meteor sunstrike blast combo into blink if im farming welll and we are winning to aghs or straight aghs if we are losing. eitehr way i get aghs around 17 then if we are winning i go refresher for some fun but if we are losing probably sheep.

My Old Invoker build was Grimoriums famous Midas > Phase > Euls Meteor SS Blast Combo > Forcestaff > Aghanims. But I think that the
Euls Combo takes up too much important skills for 1 kill so I changed to Cooks build which is
        Talisman > Midas > Boots > Forcestaff > Agha/Hex > Refresher > Travel which I think is better.
        1 enemy = Forcestaff > Forge > Cold Snap > Icewall/Sunstrike = Dead

        MADARASINDAHOUSE

          @ Luck is no Excuse

Eul - Meteor - SS - Blast Requires 575 mana for 1 target
Spirits / snap / alacrity requires 220 Mana for 1 target

Anyway i go starting : Null tangos fast Midas before 6th Minute , Boots, force staff, finish phaceboots, aga,Necrobook, refresher before 30min

          Sir

Ok so there are many different builds but basically you allways need to think about three basic items.

Starting: nullT för extra lasthitting, and or basilius + boots and or wand.
Get Midas for the exp but it is not as important as people think since invoke boost but if you have the money sure.

Do you need a forcestaff? ( ex riki )
Do you need extra mana/mobility/dodge ( ex qop/sniper)

Boots into either phase or save for travels ( phase are really pricy so think twice) very late game items.
I usually go necro 3 even after nerf and desolator its allways a good choice if you dont already have em in the team.

Veil is also something nice to get for 1500 25% extra magic damage is insanly costeffective since you already have the nultalisman.
Hex is nice if you need to get someone down fast or if they have evasion and or end the game fast.

Skadi and dominator is also a good choice if they have alot of magic imune heroes.
Basher can also be insanly good sometimes as this will be nice with forges proccing coldsnap making the stun viable
Bashes can be combied with mekanism rush for insane teamfights :)
Aganim is way late game and only if you have amazing farm and lvl and skill with invokes.

            Id say never go refresher.

Also try using Invis for initiations now after patch the move boost can be usefull when going wex tornado build.

              3 branch tango -> midas -> brown boots -> wand -> force staff -> necro 3 -> BKB first /straight agha -> travel -> sell midas/wand -> refresher

I've tried a lot of different builds lately, but I used to:

Salve, Tango, Branch x3 (Usually I didn't even need the regen unless I got ganked, which then became very useful)
Then go Phaseboots -> Drums (Should be there around when you have 2 forges, then start push.)
After this I go Forcestaff or Blink, I prefer Blink cause of its offensive advantage with less reliability.
I pick up Euls and right after an Aghs Scepter.
Then I think the Sheepstick/Bkb would be the better choices.

Also tried Necrobook which works very well.

I'm not a superexperienced Invoker player, so this is most likely not the most optimal builds.

EDIT: Tornado ->EMP ->Meteor -> Deafening blast -> Ice path(?) best combo!!!!!

                  ^I prefer tornado>emp>meteor>DB>refresh>meteor>db OR tornado>emp>meteor>db>refresh>emp>db
Then icewall, then coldsnap and whatever else i need

I despise euls on invoker, i feel like it's such an expensive way to set up for single target kills maybe i am bias since i feel like force staff > euls as it has a bit more uses when escaping/initiating. As an invoker player i like to have a team fight presence with his skills alone. This is my item build order...
start out with null 1 salve+1/2 tangoes from teammates. Afterwards, get bottle (i usually get it just because you're in middle and sometimes the hp regen between fights will help + rune controlling). So by now, you should have bottle, null+boots. Then get midas, recipe first! After i finish midas, if i am owning, then i rush bots just because it is such a great item for chasing/defending if you are doing okay, then get phase etc.. afterwards, i get force staff because it's like a mini blink and it doesn't go on cooldown when you're attacked. After that, i get aghs(2 second cooldown on invokes is ridiculous) and then skadii/scythe depending on the game but skadii is pretty nice on invoker. For skills wise, i always do forge spirits+cold snap first 10 levels~ish and then afterwards, i do tornado into meteor and immediately invoke deafening blast as the come down from the tornado to sit in the meteor.

^ euls can be good on invoker, esp if you are a dagger user. You can also use it to purge a lot of things off, like silence or even a hasted enemy. The ss-meteor-blast combo made available through the euls is a bonus to help you get some extra levels and gold before you get your aghs.

                      My preferred build : Phase -> Midas -> Necro 3 -> aghs -> dagger -> refresher -> shivas/hex

Phase for the damage needed to last hit and harass in lane as well as the ms to keep up with enemies, midas for the experience. Necro 3 comes right after due to its pushing and chasing power. By the time you have 4200 gold after necro 3, you should be 17 already, so aghs come after for the 2 sec cd invoke. Dagger for positioning and better initiation, refresher increases what invoker can do by alot, but only good for players with good spell command, sometimes a hex is better though.

Well, Wink, I was considering a wombo-combo thingy, obviously without refresher. :P
