why would russians queue in australia? link me one match where you had legit and viable russian citizens playing in australia with a ping above 400+.

Russians are not bad, they just tend to go extremes, so you either they pawn or they get pawned lol

unless you are in the top 1-3% (or near the top and stacking), all the servers are pretty much the same. you could definitely argue that south america and australia are the lowest, but don't pretend that this effects that many people

ever since europe west and europe east been taking a big pile of shit because valve can't fix their servers, i've been playing on the russian server and most of my matches have been a far better experience than europe west/east.
i'm not saying there are better players in that server specifically, but it feels like it.
i think the worst server in terms of skill is australia, south america and south korea (and if you have a high wr from these regions you should be officially banned for even tryharding) because there are no decent players from those regions and the top ones would be europe west/east > russia > US east
am i wrong? most of the games on front page is usually european/russian
