Slark and Sven, in my experience. Sven can contribute well even if you've had a shitty game because his stun is always amazing and his ultimate can make up for a lack of farm. It's also easy to get kills early with him.
Slark snowballs like nobody's business, is hard to kill, has great ganking potential, and basically never has to leave lane for more than a few seconds.
The key is to have a hero that has survivability, gank potential, and isn't that farm dependent so you can start winning before your teammates manage to feed and throw. So basically think, "What carry is the exact opposite of Medusa?"
It's probably because I stack with noobs, but I found Timber to be a great pubstomber, if played properly. Bloodstone @23 min? No problem. You then proceed to anally rape people with your nukes. Survivability? No problem, reactive armor stronk. Ganks? Timber Chain OP.
Lifestealer destroys pubs. 1. No one harasses jungle in pubs, you can free farm it easily. 2. They don't know how to handle his rage.
Ursa is just disgusting. Gyrocopter and Luna are viable for a snowball carries too from my experiences.
Oh, and Outworld freaking Devourer. (Wait, these are all heroes I play :c /bias)
Forget all these discussions now. Its a new and stupid game that is waiting to be rediscovered.
Any aggressive carry with contribution to early game: naix, alchemist, ursa, razor, etc. With the new version there's basically no need to play heroes like AM unless you want to lose. This hero is just garbage now.

I personally have the most success with razor slardar and lycan because they can solo kill and have a lot of teamfight potential
and no Bara doesn't count =p
