The problem with the matchups section of each hero page is that it doesn't compare it to the overall winrate of each hero. It makes it a bit harder to identify specific counters. The old site had a nice analysis with this data.
For example, if I want to see what heroes counter Lycan, I see that Ursa seems to be the best. While he may or may not actually counter Lycan, he is at the top of the list partially because Ursa is near the top of the normal hero winrate. What I want to see is which heroes have a higher winrate vs Lycan than their overall winrate.
