Miracle Troll - ranged battlefury? New Tech?? in General Discussion

So while watching Epicenter Game 2 OG vs Liquid, Miracle would throw a range hit and swap too melee before the attack lands, this would then cleave the creeps from the ranged attack.

    Cool efficiency tech.

that's gotta be a bug but such a small one I doubt it'll get fixed. Similar to some other effects checking orbs or procs at the time the projectile lands and not when it was shot. I think that used to be a drow and viper bug where you could attack and turn your orb on while the shot was mid flight and it would apply it.

Yeah it seems very small, but still a neat tech, i used too swap between melee/range between range hits on troll too gain move speed, now i've got another little tech to use, Especially with something like Empower.

how often will you build bfury on troll in a pub? I tried it once it was awful, delayed my bkb way too much. Pros often skip lifesteal on troll so maybe it's better for them. I'd rather do morbid mask/madness, aquila and skip battlefury.

Sounds too much of a hassle, remember there are other priorities. You will just noob out on something completely dumb if you focus too much on it.

Troll isn't my Go too if i get put into safelane, but the times that i do pick troll its usually because i have some sorta magnus/I need attack speed mid hero
or as a hero that can lane vs Axe/sandkings/darkseers and i'm vs a PL/visage, who are arguably dominating this meta.

So with that being said, the times you want too pick Troll are usually the times you'll want a fury, i honestly dislike it when my trolls go, Phase aquila morbid Shadowblade.
It feels like you would rather be playing slark. Troll is good because he hits creeps and offers you objectives, so he plays really well from infront and always offers you comeback potential for behind, so in that mindset i think the fury build is the correct build.

              Peekaboo

But i humbly agree if you aren't against alot of stuff you need too AOE, Maybe playing stats is better.

Is maelstorm a troll item ever? on paper it looks nice.

                Dire Wolf

I really doubt it cus you hit attack speed caps really fast so mjollnir doesn't seem very good so there's no upgrade path. You'll slot out on smaller items if you leave maelstrom in. Again troll does plenty of damage as is, you need stats to survive and bkb. That's why phase, aquila, s&y, bkb is such a copy paste build, it just works and rarely is something better unless you want to work in a shadow blade.

I and other pros have been doing this for months. Fury cleave takes into account the form of the hero when attack lands, not attack starts.
Also, with being that cheap Fury is usually a great pick up on Troll. With melee whirling axes, Fury is a great wave clearer. Whirling axes and 2 right clicks and the creep wave is gone. Surely it helps farming but the item helps with objectives a lot.

We just released an updated hero and facet statistics page featuring more data and advanced filters. Oh, and it supports Turbo!
