The formula is (7000-solo mmr =max cap) for people with solo higher than 3500 . For people below 3500 , 3500 is the cap
So, if I get say, 5000 solo mmr, and then calibrate my party mmr, I will be capped to 2000 party mmr?

I'm actually not really sure about this but i know a person who had 5.1k solo and calibrated at 1.9k party . And i heard some similar cases like that here
Wait , if you mean you had calibrated your mmr before the medal update and need to recalibrate it will take from your previous mmr before update
