Leave SB aside 'cause he doesn't seem to suit you, you have a 43% winrate with him. Lich and Undying sound good. The only problem I see with the heroes you chose is that they completely depend on the team, I mean they can't take the ancient by themselves, so you will have to do your best keeping in mind that your chance to win will depend on your cores, whose actions you can't control. But a lot of people climbed with supports, just focus on improving game after game. Good luck
Thanks, I guess you are right. But going balls deep with early aggression seems to be rather effective and ecouraging for most offlaners. It also forces more people to help easy lane. But if I would add a better hero in my hero pool who should it be?
Only you can answer that question, Idk which hero you enjoy playing, have sinergy with and that is also in the meta. I can only suggest you to focus on playing the same role. Maybe Treant?
https://www.dotabuff.com/topics/2018-07-22-season-2--legend-to-divine-in-6weeks-tldr-included
i did legend to divine in 6.. Read both topics, Meta stuff isn't relevant, mindset is.
If you're looking into 4 position then try to get Grimstroke, since he still OP in this patch & Treant absolutely...
LC Woods really strong this meta my friend got rank 100 so quickly he now plays with Rtz!!
from 4000 mmr to 4800 mmr, lets calculate: 800 mmr with 53% winrate means a game brings you on average 150 mmr per 100 games, so you will lvl up divine 1 after 533 games. A gmae on average is 45 minutes and therefore you need 400 hours. One months has 14*30= 420 hours that are free from sleep and food and shower (say 14 hours of dota per day) therefore you can totally do the challenge and have 20 free hours in the end to think about what you are doing with your life
^in summary, he needs to actually be BETTER than his target bracket in order to warrant a huge winrate on his way towards it
IIRC I went from Ancient 4 to Div 3 in 3 weeks (I actually got to 5350 mmr, which would be near divine 5 now, but I've since drifted out a little to 5200) of tryhard moding. Mental conditioning is a huge part of it.
Wish I could help. I went 3k-3.8k in like 2-3months this summer spamming visage been hovering there ever since.
Just pick riki Hes still OP as fuck i got from 4k to 4800 in 2 weeks and 80% Winrate riki
Took me 3 weeks to go from 4200 solo to 5100. My advice would be take frequent breaks in between games to just stretch and hydrate
It took me one month to get this from 4.1 to 4.7k lol, really hard to play supp in 4k so goodluck
supporting in 4k is easy imo
just know how to do a lot with little farm, don't play greedy, and potentiate your carries rather than compromise them
if your carry is in trouble, start casting spells and run hyper aggressively at the enemy
die with 3k net worth at 20 minutes and a 30 second respawn and waste some enemy time and resources while you're at it
invest 200 gold in a quelling blade so you don't feed the enemy deward gold
soft pull just the ranged creep out of every wave so the enemy offlaners get less experience without compromising the lane too hard
if a wave is pushing the tower, just aggro the creeps and run down the lane, doubling up the wave, while you wait for a core to tp in to farm it. if they rotate someone into the lane to stop you, then they're wasting their time from dealing with whatever lane your core is currently in.
almost all this stuff goes unpunished in 4k
From 5k to 6k in 10 days - analysed so many replays that i had migraines the size of mountains.
Look even that's nothing i've played the game for a while, some impressive things i've seen is players who go from starting the game to leaderboard top 500 in 6 months.
there's no secret to it - the more you learn/practice; the higher mmr you get.
If your thought process only went as far as ''what heroes do i spam'' then believe me you won't be getting it.
@Cookie
"some impressive things i've seen is players who go from starting the game to leaderboard top 500 in 6 months"
I think dota is weird in that way sometimes
when ranked first came out, i only played chen (and some visage). literally the only hero i had played was chen for almost a thousand games. i knew so little about the broad game, but i knew what i needed to do to be effective with chen, and i ranked in at 5k when ranked very first came out.
i was able to skirt along by just doing one thing right and still have a big impact. i think that happens with some up-and-coming mid players sometimes too. the competitive drive pushes them to be the best in technical skill, and using things like timing windows as strategic signals to understand pressure without the burden of full game knowledge
my glass bubble shattered at some point and i dropped all the way down to 2.5k and had to relearn the game from the ground up
very good learning experience tho
real talk though if your teammates weren't shit they would lobby-help you and then you'd go into ranked and try that shit so you know it works
Sounds like they're a bunch of kunts or you're the kunt or they're approaching this whole thing terribly instead of what it should be party mmr practicing for bigger things
@story time, OP have 52% ranked win rate, he will get to divine slower XD, +100 mmr every 100 games lol
Cookie is legend ! He is the most famous person on the dotabuff after ayy lmao topic !
i ve been lvling legend 3 to ancient 4 in 1 week on my smurf. Cost me a lot to not flame all this noobs but was fine because i actually ruined 5 games in a row yesterday.
Buti m gonna give you a secret , you have 3 cores in your team , if you have 2 of them feeding /being- doing bad , you'll prob loose it.
Took me 3 days to go from Ancient 2 to 5, then 1 week has passed and still can't reach divine :(

So my team put an ultimatum: I get Divine 1 in 30 days or I'll get kicked. So I've been spamming undying lately rather successfully but I know what comes next if I'll continue this way: inevitable lose streak. So I'll be spamming Undying, Spirit Breaker and Lich. Simple meta heroes with high winrate and good synergy with most offlane heroes. But I feel that would not be enough. Your thoughts?
